The Skate Plaza Project

Some Background

AA little while back, I decided to try my hand at a slightly larger drafting project. I am an avid skateboarder, and as any street skater can tell you, the design of skate parks rarely matches up with what is preferred street skating terrain. This has led to a movement to get better skate parks built, and I want to be a part of it. Ideally, my dream job is to design skateparks, so I thought this would be a fun trial run for me.
While I know it will likely never get built, I still wanted to see how hard it could be to design and model a large skating facility.
I had no 3D modeling program available to me at the time, so I went and downloaded the 30-day trial of AutoCAD 2008 and away I went!

Everything about this project, concept through design, revision, texture, dynamic lighting to final rendering was completed in under 30 days. Enjoy!
